Missing spid

So I'm ready to start my first c10 project, I found a really good cab. But the glove box is gone. Is there any way to get duplicate ? Does it lower the value of the truck? I see cabs for sale all the time so some of you guys must have dealt with this before. Thanks

Have Jeff make you one. They are identical to original and you can add any option you want as well

^^^^^What he said.
Jeff is a great guy to deal with. I'm very happy with the SPID he made for me!

Re: Missing spid

If you still have the original seat you may get lucky and find the build sheet inside and be able to get everything on the new SPID.

Where in the seat would the build sheet be? I happen to have my seat out right now...

Re: Missing spid

Jumping in here cause I have the same problem. Previous owner replaced glovebox door with chrome one. SO to be clear if you don't have the glovebox or sheet in seat, there is no way to get original specs for these trucks? No central database GM kept or something? lol

For US built and sold trucks: correct. The GM Heritage Center info starts in 1976/1977.

For Canadian built trucks, or vehicles built in the US for Canadian use, you can contact GM of Canada Vintage Vehicle Services.

They will have the info.
