OT: wtb--> cj8 scrambler

hey guys im posting this for my dad, he is looking for a cj8 scrambler, im posting on the message board so i will get some hits, anyways he has a 53 chevy shortbox with a 350/th350 its pretty much a low buck resto but its a solid truck, if anyone knows anyone who has one for sale or might be interested in a trade please let me know, my dad said he is willing to quite a ways to get one, he is looking for a half finished project type thing or something solid... of equal value to his truck, he figures around 6k cdn. so if you know of anything let me know please, thanks in advance, Derek

also keep your eyes open for the CJ-6. It was made from 66-75, iirc. it's basically the CJ-8 dimension wise, i.e. lwb. not too sure on any other details, but i know they are very similar.

actually there is a cj6 forsale in town for i think it was 18 hun, but i dont think they came i with solid doors or a hard top, we are looking for something a little newer then the cj6, although they are cool projects also, thanks for the heads up adam

CJ-8s are really popular nowdays but there was a time nobody wanted them. I had an 82 that I did a spring over on along with dana 44 difs and 4.27 gears, 401 /th400 and a dana 20 combo, Sold it when I started getting into these trucks.

I do have a 64 J-2000 gladiator project for sale, it has an 8ft stepside bed and is all rust free, comes with a 78 J-20 chassis and diffs a 360 with a newly rebuilt th400 and dana 20. My cousin was going to build a clone of the truck in the movie TREMORS but got bored with it and know I have it. I also have a 72 jeep commando but its in pretty sad shape.

if you can find an 82 it would be your best bet,thats when they came out with the wide track axles,much better in my opinoin
