steering linkage help
I am rebuilding the steering linkage on my truck and the new pitman arm I have seems too big for the drag link. Does it have to be pressed into the drag link? or is it supposed to be an easy fit? Do I have to drill out the center link a bit for the new pitman arm to fit?

Re: steering linkage help
It should go in (tapered fit, it's pressed in when nuts tighten) make sure you line up the tapers . If you revers the tapers it will be very hard to get them in will mess up the part!

Re: steering linkage help
thanks I found the problem. The kit I bought from Performance Online they sent me the wrong idler arm. It had two large tapers instead of the one small and one large for the drag link. Bought the proper one locally.
