Any difference in fenders?

Any difference in the fenders of a 68 vs 72? I've got a line locally on a solid driverside off a 68. Thanks guys

Re: Any difference in fenders?

If you are talking GMC, then no. If you are talking Chevy, then yes. '68 stands alone, then come 69-72 type. Same as the hoods.

Re: Any difference in fenders?

For anyone interested. There are some differences. It says low hood angle, but no mention of a fender difference. Any insight on fender dimension differences?

Re: Any difference in fenders?

As was said, the 69'-72' are the same. 68' and 67' fenders are shaped different on the front edge. The later ones had the wrap around grill shell so the fenders were recessed in this area for the grill. The reason the 68' and 67' fenders are different is '67 has no side marker. The 68' fender will bolt on but the later grill will not fit. I hope this clears things up.

Re: Any difference in fenders?

If you can get a deal on '68 fenders you should grab them up! These are very desirable since repros are not made well, unless they came up with new tooling. Lots of 69-72 trucks getting '68 front ends, lots of '68s Chevys, and all the 68-72 GMCs... not to mention some Chevy to GMC swaps going on, and they all need those fenders.
