New replacement 2 barrel carb feedback
This came through my Amazon feed and wondered if anyone has any feedback on quality/function.
It says 70-79 5.7, is there any difference in bolt pattern that would keep it from working on an earlier manifold? Im assuming its due to the electric choke that it shows the later applications. Thanks for any info. https://www.amazon.com/Carburetor-Ro...ype=automotive |

Re: New replacement 2 barrel carb feedback
Depends how early.
There was a small base and a large base carb. Small base was 3 1/4 inches from bolt hole to bolt hole. Large base was 3 11/16. That carb is likely a large base. |

Re: New replacement 2 barrel carb feedback
Trying to make a 350 look like a stock 283 for my 66. Would the stock 66 manifold be early or late?

Re: New replacement 2 barrel carb feedback
You’d need to measure it.
How do you plan to use a pcv on your fake 283. |

Re: New replacement 2 barrel carb feedback
Well, finally was able to get to the truck and pull the carb and you were right its the early 3 1/4 small bore manifold/carb.
As far as the PCV, its a factory closed system so will be leaving it intact. |
