HOW ABOUT WHITE?? 57 swb
Are there many white 57 trucks out there? Please show some pictures!!
I have debated with metallic blue, red of some shade, silver and I can't decide. Since this is going to be expensive I would like to look at some pictures. |

Look at PTC's build. He painted his white and it looks pretty nice.

I did dark red, Chevy color from around 2013 called Tin Roof Rusted, good luck with your decision, it's kind of a hard one

light colors don't show dirt, my yellow 58 is always spotless
my black 09 is dirty driving away from the carwash

I have a black car and truck and I would rather not own another. Dirty after it was cleaned. The only time I ever felt good was after I did a nice wax job and that afternoon it was dirty. |

Despite that, I went with a dark red which I may live regret.

Re: HOW ABOUT WHITE?? 57 swb
I have seen a few, but no pics. I think a nice Cadillac pearlescent white would look great. Otherwise, GM Bright White always looks good. As others have said, dark colors look really nice, but are very hard to maintain. If you are picky like I am, you may be unhappy with a dark color after it gets some road wear.

Re: HOW ABOUT WHITE?? 57 swb
Well this morning they were color sanding my Dart.
It's 2014 Toyota Tundra white and the tourquse is a fleet color for a city in Florida. This combo would look good on a TF something like this.

Re: HOW ABOUT WHITE?? 57 swb
I wouldn't intentionally chose white, but whenever I see white trucks I'm always surprised how good they look. In fact, some of my favorite trucks are white.

Re: HOW ABOUT WHITE?? 57 swb
Beige is a color that looks good on most any vehicle and is easy to keep clean. Here is a pic of my last truck. It was painted with Sherwin-Williams b/c in Volvo truck tan which was almost an exact match to the original tan color. I had the interior done in deep red but most interior colors go well with tan.

I painted the top of my cab, grill and bumper in this color as a rust prevention 11 years ago, that name sticks with me.

Re: HOW ABOUT WHITE?? 57 swb
Questions, are you planning on a show truck? Are you painting it and are you experienced at this? Here's my before and after pic. The nice part of doing it yourself is that, you did it. Also, Eastwood people are fantastic to work with and talk to. I was told yellow colors attract bugs, don't know how true it is, but I'm partial to cranberry pearl for a choice. BUT, any color containing any reds will cost you more. Good luck

Re: HOW ABOUT WHITE?? 57 swb
Hi all, I am not building a show truck it is a hot rod and will stay that way till I sell it to someone who wants an almost finished truck. I have been told by many that my truck is ugly and needs a paint job to make it look good driving down the street.
I agree with their opinion, I used a rattle can (semi gloss black) to paint and keep it up since 2011 while I play with building it. Now I have never been able to decide on black or red. So I have seen a few white and why not? For my purpose and use, I will probably not use a painter at 3 to 8 grand and I am not sure if Maco at $500 would look better than using a sprayer, rattle can, or whatever. Thank you for your opinions and keep them coming. I haven't decided what color since 2011 and still haven't. larry |

Re: HOW ABOUT WHITE?? 57 swb
I'm going to paint my 54 a chrysler colour - Cool Vanilla. It looks real close to the cream truck.
