700+ horsepower c10
I am visiting family in Texas, and wanted to share some pictures of my wife’s uncles c10. He’s big into drag racing. His truck is powered by a 710-hp LS 454. Runs around 6.2-second 1/8th mile before some rear end mods in progress.

That is fascinating! It would be fun to see more pictures of the interior if you have time. Do you know what is the device that sticks through the dash about where the radio would normally be?

That is a light attached to the tachometer that tells you when to shift exactly at the right time.

Re: 700+ horsepower c10
I used to have a 525 H.P. dyno tuned vintage pick up truck. It was way too much power and torque for the light weight rear end of a pick up to handle. Daily drive was risky. I finally installed Mickey Thomson street slicks (grooved). The wide tires allow driving on streets which spinning out or experiencing directional problems when turning. Driving on wet pavement was not safe or possible.
700+ H.P. is strictly for the drag strip.
