rear coil spring removal - easy

I see a lot of guys wrestling with rear upper coil spring bolt removal so here is the easy way ,Takes less than 5 minutes .

Use an air cut off wheel / cold chisel / BFH

reach inside the frame rail with your cut off wheel ,

You can see the bolt by looking thru the frame rail opening here marked by blue arrow.

Cut down one side of the nut seen thru the frame .

using cold chisel placed on either side of the now cut nut use the BFH a couple times and the nut will fall off allowing the bolt and spring keeper to drop . works on both sides , Easy Peasy .

Re: rear coil spring removal - easy

The way I do it is take off shocks, panhard bar, remove bracket for brake hose off differential. Then remove lower retainer off coil and drop the diff down. Use impact and extension and easily gets to upper bolt. Wrench to hold nut and done deal.

I use a torch takes longer to unwind the hose than to cut
