how to remove
Not sure if this is the best spot to post but figured I would give it a shot.
I have a GM spot light that I want to take off of a parts truck i have and want to do it without breaking it. Instead of just going in blind on it, I was wondering if any of you guys have pointers or even an exploded view picture of them. TIA Richard .

Re: how to remove
I have never taken one apart but I guess you need to remove the handle inside or the light assembly on the outside so the arm slides through the pillar. Looks like the light assy has a clamp on the outside to do just that.
Make sure to use penetrating oil for a few days to loosen that 50 year old rust! I'm sure it should not be too complicated...Man made, man can take it apart! Bill

Re: how to remove
Disconnect wiring.
Remove pistol grip. Slide shaft out [forward]. Save bracket [p/n 202 -- for 67-72 GM trucks]. www.unityusa.com

Re: how to remove
Thanks for the help guys. I got it removed from the truck without any damage. I just wanted to get it put away before I did hit it with something.
