1961 K10 front brakes

I’m attempting to put new brakes all around on my Apache. Got the rears done without any issue but then i got to the fronts. This is the first 4 wheel drive I’ve done brakes on so I didn’t know what differences there would be. The fronts seem to have no adjusters, just two springs that essentially hold the shoes together. My probable is, once I get the new pads up there and set, the hub won’t go on. Now one hub is bent and needs changed which is where one of my questions comes from. Where do I get a new correct four wheel drive hub and how do I get those new shoes to set right to get the other hub back on?

Re: 1961 K10 front brakes

The front brakes are like an early jeep. the shoes go on backwards compared to the rear. Big shoe little shoe. the hub you're talking about is the brake drum right? The rear drums are the same as the front. the ft are adjusted by two adj on the back of the backing plate. Go to my build as i have pics and info. Each shoe has to be adjusted.
