71 C10 4.1L throttle cable?
Howdy,
My 71 C10's throttle cable is quite frayed: It's 20" long: I'm having trouble finding replacement parts. This seems like the closest match, but it's 21" long (seems to be for the larger motors): https://www.classicmuscle.com/throttle-cable-assembly Searching the forum, looks like lmctruck offered a cable once upon a time, but I can't find it on their website anymore. Any ideas? |

That looks like the throttle cable that you need to me. Alot of the aftermarket cables are made a little long so they will work with both stock and aftermarket carb & intake set ups.

use a allen bolt, not sure what they're called but they use them on ten speed bikes for the breaks. the cable fits perfectly in the hole and out the other side then tighten the allen screw down after you adjust the length to what you need but don't cut til you've tightened.

I bought that cable, but because it is too long the gas pedal is too close to the floor. Now I need put a spacer on it or something. Ideas, besides zip ties?
