67 c10 crossmember control arm flip?

I've got a 1967 C10 short box Stepside I'm installing a 5 inch drop kit from Speedway Motors my question is do I have to change the brackets where the control arms bolt to the crossmember in order to get the right pinion angle on the rear end and driveshaft? Any help would be much appreciated thank you very much.

No just a 3 degree shim should do it.

Re: 67 c10 crossmember control arm flip?

The best way to do it is to measure the pinion and drive shaft angels and shim accordingly. I have done a couple and 3 degrees has been about right. Because of the shape of the training arms as you drop the nose on the rear points down and the shims bring it back up. I have 1 1/2" blocks in my 66 and machined the tops instead of adding shims. Speedway carries a wide selection of the shims.
