Re: New Lmc tail light housing connection problem
The spring seems to be compressing fine. There’s just not a lot of surface for plastic prongs to grab onto

Re: New Lmc tail light housing connection problem
Poorly made aftermarket light housings are the problem.
They have more of a rounded rim where the plastic harness clips onto. You may be able to file your part down some to allow more of a bite? Not the best stock photo, but you can see the difference on some OE tail light housings. Good luck Last edited by samkost; 12-03-2018 at 11:09 PM. |

Re: New Lmc tail light housing connection problem
I had the same problem with LMC taillight housings. Left one fit no problem, right kept popping out the wire harness when plugged in the bulb. I finally got it to hold, I’m sure it will pop off again and I plan on using firedemon’s idea and shrink tube it.

Re: New Lmc tail light housing connection problem
Try a tie wrap around it to keep it in place.

Re: New Lmc tail light housing connection problem
Thanks for all the advice, I ordered some of the shrink tubing going to give that a try.
This is my first c 10 I’m just wondering if all the aftermarket parts need tweaking |

Re: New Lmc tail light housing connection problem
Some do. There are better places to buy parts than LMC. But you are better off getting new old stock or good used parts. To me hunting down good used parts is the most rewarding part of the process. Avoid aftermarket when you can. Good luck with your truck!!
