Brake dust shield clearance with 2.5" drop spindles?
71 C-10
Mostly sure these are the original dust shields. The spindles Early Classic's 2.5" drop. Any reason to believe they'll contact the control arm on the road? How about with the weight on the tires? From here I can't see how they'd move, but I'd rather they didn't cut into the control arm. Suppose I could bend them a pinch. Just curious what you guys think/experienced. Ball joints are torqued within specs. Thanks. Captions intended for ECE......

If it fits it ships! That's pretty close, I'd be inclined to clearance them. I know you want to leave them untouched with your "over-the-top" restoration. BTW, I enjoy watching you work!

![]() Yeah, not sure what to do about the dust shields yet. I like them a lot ![]() Not even ready to install brakes. Por-15 Caliper black pending receipt. I didn't know rotors had races ![]() ![]()

They will be fine just close, I wouldn't worry about it.
