1963 C10 3 on the tree

Rear wheels in the air can’t turn them but an inch or so either way. How can I tell from underneath if it is really in neutral ?

Take both shift levers on the trans and move them to the center indent of both levers. You should be able to feel each position for both levers

Thanks I'll try and do that tomorrow in the day light. The truck has been sitting for a few years and I already figured out how to get the shifter to unstick between (R-1) and (2-3) with a healthy shot of silicone.

Ok, I wiggled the shifter at the transmission and then rocked each rear wheel back and forth. After about 100 rockings, things loosened up and I was able to rotate the rear wheel completely .

Yippee! One more victory.
