Howdy from Santa Fe
I have been a lurker for a long time and am building a 66 SWB. The 66 started out as a "I'll just replaced the brakes and a few other things.." and now has its own checking account. Good grief what is wrong with us??!!
I have been taking photos along the way and plan on posting a build thread. Here's to bustin knuckles and sleepless nights fretting over the details! Warren |

Re: Howdy from Santa Fe
Thanks guys! I ended up doing the CPP 5-7 drop with the big brake kit front and back. Wasn’t planning on replacing the rear end, but after opening it to pull the axles realized it needed a full rebuild. Ended up tossing in a QuickTime modular 9”.
The wheels are Detroit Steel 20”x9” and 18”x8” with 4.5” bs on all. The tires are Continental 245/45 front and rear. Currently the truck has a crate 350 (thought it was a 283 based on the head markings) and the 3 on the tree. I have a half finished 63 Coupe Deville with a 2013 L99 driveline, planning on pulling the 350 and replacing with the re-cammed L99/LS3 and a Tremec Magnum T56. |

Re: Howdy from Santa Fe
Good looking truck! My friend drove his dads '66 through high school. It's what first got me into the truck scene back then. I'm really a squarebody guy, but I always love seeing trucks like yours get built up.
