If any of you live in the SF bay area I have a powder coater for you!
The work looks awesome, it was damn near free for goodness sakes! I was quoted $500 for the frame, that was half as much as every other place I called. I dropped off the frame with a PILE of other stuff, we are talking the seat frame, rad support, inner fenders, all the fender braces, all the bumper brackets all the clutch and brake linkage and brackets, backing plates, the gas tank brackets and straps, the battery tray and lid all the heat shields that are on the frame, and I am sure other things I am forgetting, ALL of this was $500! HOLY CRAP, JUST the primer would have cost me that much! They saved me months of work for literally free!
This includes the sandblasting, zinc coating and powdercoating black. I thought there was a mistake right up until I saw the invoice, I thanked them so much, every guy I saw I thanked them. They even loaded the stuff onto the tow truck for me! I am still in awe still in awe, I just can't believe this! I feel like my truck is ready to drive! LOL It's damn near half done with this stuff done, holy crap! This was done at https://gilbertspray.com/ in Santa Clara. Brian

Thanks for the heads up on the powder coater.
Hey the Falcon in your driveway, could that be a sprint? Looking at the fenders I do not see the Sprint emblems though. Just curious. |

Thank you for the lead on a local powder coater. Nice to have options here in the Bay Area. I've used West Coast Powder Coating in South San Francisco with mostly good results so far but I don't think they are going to match the pricing and the good service of the outfit you suggested.

Thats a great deal. I paid almost twice that for frame and a few small parts 10 years ago.
