Can anyone make me these gaude decals in correct color?

I had these decals made for my custom gauges but the shop I used could only come this close. They need to be cut exactly the same. I can send them to you to replicate. I had quite a few made. The TRANS decal is reverse to stick to the back side of the lens and the temp face just sticks to the gauge face. I just don't like the the coloring on mine. I had the TRANS made in green and white and both look way out. Would like them to be of good quality. Thanks in advance, Rod.

Is that something you made or is that a factory thing i don't know about?

It's not factory. I wanted a transmission temp gauge so this is how I did i to make it look stock.

You might want to investigate painting it with custom mixed paint. You could possibly use a reverse vinyl decal to mask it and spray it, or have someone screen it. You could also do the whole face that way so the entire face would be guaranteed to match within the gauge, and would be harder to tell mismatch vs a different gauge.

What about cutting the face from a temp gauge and cut it to fit the space needed, then it would be the exact same colors.

I thought about doing it that way but. It's much easier with a decal I guess. If I can't find one I'll leave it as is but I guess I'm just picky and would like it to look more seamless. I did think about the paint as well. That may be an option I'd I can't get the decals.

Another thing to try would be to print the vinyl in white, then tint it to a faint green with something. Perhaps use green tea - for example an old restoration trick is to use regular iced tea to calm down a bright white repop vinyl.

That addition of a transmission temperature gauge is quite amazing! Do you have a step-by-step photo gallery of how you accomplished that?

Re: Can anyone make me these gaude decals in correct color?

The problem you will have is matching the amount of fade in the color and you are trying to match a screen print color. Getting the flat finish on the vinyl with out laminating it requires a mat printable vinyl for the printer being used. Most folks wont stock it if it is available for the printer they have since it will grow old before you can use it. It may look a bit closer if you coat it with a mat clear. Just be careful as it may attack the decal. The mat laminate to put over the decal you can find that that at sign shops that do vehicle wraps. The white will never match as there are a 1000 shades of white and just ask any painter white is a pain. With vinyl printing only a few printers can do white and you have just the one shade. Most of the time when you print a decal the white is the vinyl color and you print the rest around it. Hope this helps your understanding of printed decals.

Yeah I understand that. It's not the white that others me so much but the green. If it's not possible I'm fine with the way it is just thought if it was possible to get it closer it would be nice.
