Thumbs up GM hand held

My dad and I got back to his house in NC yesterday after a week in Yazoo Mississippi. I drove old red for the week. The truck ran great. The picture of the truck and the 56 we drove 2 years ago in front of my grand mothers house. A little over 1900 miles in 7 days. The last leg of the trip though I did in the Tahoe after we spent the night at my house in SC. I drove my dad home the next day.
I worked on the 56 a little and placed him a new spare wheel & tire in the trunk. I didn't want him to have to use the original spare that is still in the car.

So I checked the AC and it's good. Oil, transmission levels all good car ran good and cooled down just fine.

So my dad started going through stuff out in his garage and handed me a GM hand held spot light. I plugged it up and it works. I was hoping to find the old 8 track/FM converter radio but never did. I also got his GM 120 ac converter to 12 volts box he had.
I also got a nice old brake tool that he used when he was a mechanic for GM.
He said it was his first multi tool he bought.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: GM hand held

That's great Andy. I like it when people actually use their old vehicles. Beautiful '56! Mike

One of those kind of spot lights cost my Dad a beautiful 63 Feetwood. It was face down on the seat and the switch got bumped to on. Burnt up the interior. He still mourns that car. Nice accessory but be careful with it!

That was the first thing my dad said when he handed it to me is make sure it's off are unplugged when not in use.
Good info.
