Vents and cowl vent 67 Chevy C10
Where does the air come from that flows thru the vents in the kick panels of a 67 chevy PU? The reason I ask, is because pretty often, like when I park near a Bartlett Pear tree, when I am driving along and open the vents, I get a storm of leaves or flower petals or other detritus. I would like to try to minimize this--I have seen screens that go under the cowl vents--is this where vent air comes from? I guess I could just go look and see if I can see where it comes from, but I though someone might just know off the top of their head. ?

Re: Vents and cowl vent 67 Chevy C10
Here is a link with photos of the area. (I like visual aids.) Cowl screens will reduce the amount of debris.
I would also recommend a good cleaning of the area. I removed the vent doors reached in and pulled as much as possible out and then vacuumed the rest out, and then blew the area out with compressed air. Both from the inside and from the bottom of the fender. Since then no debris. I also installed the cowl screens. Although I was more interested in preventing rust than debris blowing inside the truck. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=721974
