Should I Lower or No

So i recently put on new shoes, 18s in front and 20s on the rear. Originally thinking of lowering but now I'm not sure if i should lower it at all, and i'm looking for thoughts and opinions. This is my daily driver, so if i need to haul anything i don't want it too low.

Beautiful truck. It would would look good lowered. If you put bags on it maybe you could have the best of both worlds.

Re: Should I Lower or No

I second leave it as is. I don't get why everyone wants to lower their truck, if you want something lower why not get a car.

Well it cost you nothing to leave it as is and you can always lower it later. Maybe drive it like this for a year and consider a different stance next Spring?

You can lower it and keep the hauling ability if you run air in the back. Just a thought.

Re: Should I Lower or No

Well, since you're asking for opinions... (in other words, I wouldn't say this if you hadn't asked)
Sorry, I can't do lowered on a LWB... There, SOMEone had to say it.... I'd sink that money into disk brakes - or the piggy bank for a rainy day.
Bring on the hate, I can take it.

Re: Should I Lower or No

Very nice truck! Personally, I think it would be just a bit cooler looking with a 2 inch drop spindle in front and 2-4 inch drop in the back. Since you mentioned that you like the rake just add a $75 set of 2 inch drop blocks. This way you have the same exact ride and rake that you have now. Either way... just a real purdy ride man.

Re: Should I Lower or No

If you have to ask, you don’t really want to lower it.
Plus you won’t want to spend the money to do it the right way.
Leave it alone.

Re: Should I Lower or No

Love the paint job! To me big wheels and lowering go hand in hand. Aesthetically it just flows better ... To my eyes that is.

Too bad the Photoshop part of the board has dried up. Would be easy to see how it looks lowered a bit or a lot.

My opinion,
long bed 2wd = lowered every time. I like the long and low look

Re: Should I Lower or No

I say lower it. You can check out my build thread - mine had about the same stance as yours. I ended up with RideTech air and I love the lowered look. My ride height would be very manageable on a daily basis.

2.5 drop spindle in front 4" coil in back. i like them slightly lowered and it drives great no worries about bottoming out. I hope this helps

Re: Should I Lower or No

Sweet truck, you could lower it... but it all depends on if YOU want it lower... please don't cut or heat the springs... not for us..but for your ride quality....it WILL DROP and you will not be happy.. buy lowering springs (not ebay or cheap ones) ece and or pol have good ones...other will chime im sure

I'm not a fan of lowering vehicles. Often done poorly and not my taste.

Re: Should I Lower or No

Drop it the 2/4, just dont do it buy heating the springs or cutting. Aftermarket has good stuff with proper spring rate and keeps the ride nice.
