OBDII Live Scanner

What is a decent but cost effective (aka cheap) live OBDII scanner to diagnose running issues? My LS swap won't run very well at all with the TPS plugged in and I need to work on resolving this.

Re: OBDII Live Scanner

if you are only diagnosing and not tuning, then this is a decent unit to read ECMs. It can clear CEL and if you download the TORQ app to your phone you can monitor practically any engine sensor output. Again, there is NO tuning, just monitoring and clearing CEL's.

I use this same reader/scanner for down & dirty quick diagnosing and then use HP Tuners when i have to actually change something in the ECM.

This is great and cheap but unfortunately I don't have any android products, do they make an apple version or a scanner with its own screen that is decent?

Yes sir but instead of using BlueTooth the Apple version uses WiFi.

Full disclosure here: I have NO experience with this particular scanner/reader but the ELM 327 board is what actually does the "scanning/reading" and the wifi/bluetooth is just how the reader/scanner connects to the phone/tablet.
