No holes to mount rear bumper on my frame? What am I missing here?

I need help from the wealth of knowledge on here.

I bought this 67 truck out of California, supposed to be factory short bed. The vin shows a factory short bed, but I can see a z notch I think below the rear of the cab area where it may have been shortened. It had a roll pan before.

I purchased a smoothie rear bumper, and do not see any holes that are supposed to be there for mounting the banners. The slot is there that I see on other people's, just but the main holes. Even the top inside notch towards the back looks right to me. Could the back half of this been cut off? If so, will this cause me any issues other than just feeling new holes? I'm running a wood bed also, so have that rear cross member. The extra hole on top was from me moving the center frame support back 1.25" or so.

Thanks a lot in advance!!

I think I may just have a previously shortened frame with bumper holes that were never relocated. I didn't know the back got several inches cut off as well. I'll post dimensions for these holes in case anyone can benefit from this thread when I find them, unless anyone has them handy and beats me to it.

You can't tell if it's a short bed from the VIN, you need the original spid to tell. Tons of short beds around today and many of them are shortened long beds. I'm totally fine with trucks being shortened unless someone is trying to pass it off as a factory short bed to make money.

You're absolutely correct. Its been a little while, but 100% he said it was a factory short bed and said the frame was not cut down. I had it shipped 1900 miles and can see it's z notched under the cab, so there's that..

There are so few of these trucks around locally I havent found anyone to grab measurements for the holes off of yet. I just sold my 68 factory swb last month too. Just my luck!
