Just how drunk is this guy?
I often cruise around the internet when I'm bored and look to see what C10's are going for. I'm not trying to sell mine or anything, just fun to think that it might be going up in value (and no, this is not a "what's it worth" post.
Anyway, I tripped across this guy who is obviously tripping https://classics.autotrader.com/clas...ruck/100853206 Thought it was funny enough to post here for a laugh. I bet we all wish this truck was worth what he is asking! p.s. On the off chance that the owner is on this website and sees this - no offense, and good luck on your fishing expedition.

Re: Just how drunk is this guy?
Ah, but you're not taking into account the rare original JC Whitney seat cover, that adds a solid $50K right there.
I imagine it's a typo most likely. Maybe 6995 or 16995, etc. Who knows. And, for some reason, I'm always skeptical about ads from Cadillac, MI. There are zillions of old car ads as though there is an internet seller/clearinghouse up there... |

Re: Just how drunk is this guy?
For a price of 60k it should have all those sissy amenities that everyone thinks they need imo to drive up that price to somewhat close to 25k? and I may be generous flawless paint, polished oak wood bed floor with chrome strips, shorty of course, 5 bolt disc wheel conversion, tilt, tach, vac, speed warning, factory shoulder belts, buddy buckets, a/c , p/s, carpet, am/fm radio, big back window, big block engine, chrome bumpers then it might be desirable and worth 25-30k but not 60k although NADA says my 1970 C/10 is worth north of 55k all done up without those things all manual except brakes and yes a long bed with no a/c

When NADA starts buying trucks their suggested values will be relevant .

Re: Just how drunk is this guy?
Heyain't jrunk. He hi on sumppum!
I just saw this morning on FB a '68 K/10 SWB for $64k and thought he was about $32k crazy. I mean $32k is good money for a '90s LMC style restoration, Kmart mirrors and all. The guy is near me, has another crazy price C/10. I feel like going over there and slapping him

Re: Just how drunk is this guy?
It does have the super rare factory visor and bumper guard package. Those rare options can really add to the price.

Re: Just how drunk is this guy?
These guys are watching too many auctions. They keep telling us that our truck prices are going through the roof with no end in sight so these guys are trying to get high dollar restoration price for their low dollar trucks and "rare" parts that probably aren't.
If they want to go out and fish for suckers that's fine. However that forces the rest of us to keep raising our agreed value insurance to keep up with the overinflated marked and that comes out of our pockets. Tom
