1969 with Tilt?

I recently picked up a very nice 1969 GMC Custom. It has a ton of factory options, one of which being Tilt. Was a tilt steering column offered in 69? Or was this something someone added to the truck?

70 was the first year for tilt. So someone added it to a 69

Is the option label inside the glovebox door?
