If I won the lotto today....

Since I purchased my '72 C20 back in 2013, I've always had the idea that some day I'd like to pull the body off, fix the rust, and put a modern 4 wheel drive chassis under it....like a Suburban body on a Ford Raptor chassis. Apparently I'm not the only one that thinks like that as the Roadster Shop just released their RS4 chassis. Initially, its available for early Broncos, but will be available for the '67-'72 pickup/blazer/suburban eventually. Unfortunately, if you go to their web site, and spec one out, it comes out to around $60K!!!!! Obviously not in the cards any time soon, but it is cool to see some of these aftermarket shops building full 4x4 chassis to the same quality they build a lot of the muscle car and pro touring stuff.

That is very cool. My only problems with these highend frames is when I seem them used on the high end TV builds they never seem to be drop the body on and go. Always some thing or another they have to change. If I paid 60 G for a chassis that thing had better practically mount itself

agreed 100%. I think if I were of the means and inclination to tackle this project, I'd deliver the truck to the Roadster Shop as a roller.....everything stripped, body bolts hand tight, and let them lift the body, drop it on their chassis, and I'd take it from there.

At the roadster show in Pomona someone had a International Travel all on a Raptor chasis. It was done really well. Unfortunately I deleted my pics.

If I went this route it would have to have portal axles with a solid front.... that IFS looks like horrible ground clearance....
