Fender repair/replace
My front drivers fender is pushed up just behind the wheel. It looks like someone drove over a curb and it was crushed. Otherwise looks pretty good.
Would like to keep it but unsure which is going to be more work, hanging and aligning new fender or pulling, hammering and filling existing one.

Re: Fender repair/replace
Pics would tell a better story, but from the info you provided, I'd opt for finding a decent fender rather than repair.

Attached is drivers and passengers fender. Drivers seems sort of roles under and flattened. Rest of the panel is fairly straight. Hate to lose this one because it looks original to the truck and doesn’t have much damage or rust. Passenger fender is from a donor and a little rusty where wheel well trim trapped dirt/water. Re: Fender repair/replace
2nd the thought to try fixing it. Unless the truck is going to be a pretty pretty restoration, a few small imperfections probably isn't worth hassle of buying a repro fender and dealing with the fitment issues that often happen with the repros.
Expect the inner fender to need a little fixing as well. Pretty sure you can get replacement pieces that cover that area is it is a common rust out place. Backup plan in case the BFH route doesn't yield good enough results. |

Re: Fender repair/replace
Sounds like I’m repairing....
Took the bed off and started doing some body work this weekend. It’s not going to be bad to fix. Fender is solid otherwise. Only trouble, other than bent/rusted hood is going to be the passenger bed side. Doesn’t look like a dent as much as the outer wall bows/flexes in just a bit but no obvious damage to outer or inner wall of the bed. Posted via Mobile Device |

Make sure you replace the hood hinges when you replace the hood!
