1972 AC Truck Interior Insulation Pad

I am finishing my truck, and it is an AC truck and I have the left and center insulation backer board section installed. My question is what if anything, goes on the right side, under or around the interior heater box area on the passengers side? All of the after market pieces, say "not for AC" - is there suppose to be insulation in that area or is it just the firewall? Any help would be appreciated.

I think you have to add something else to really improve on the original. I added rattle trap, and 2 layers of close cell foam under the carpet. Ran it up as far under the dash as possible. Not sure if there is any after market piece like you need available.

Re: 1972 AC Truck Interior Insulation Pad

I did that as well - used a product similar, and ran it all the way up firewall, then trimmed out holes, and am now adding the jute backed insulation like original, and have not seen anywhere to buy the right side - maybe the AC trucks didn't have on on the right side? Trying to cover that metallic material I applied underneath. Then will tuck the carpet underneath the jute backed board. So it all looks back to stock. Thanks for the input - appreciate it!
