1968 C20 wheel / hubcap question

I’m trying to figure out what rims my truck came with as I’d like to replace the current HD2500 forged wheels. My SPID calls out PO3 chromed caps and S89 16.5 x 8.25 spare.
1- Is it safe to assume the other 4 rims would be same as spare?
2- Would the rim have been clincher or split?
3- Would caps be clip type or nub?

Thanks in advance, Joe

I’m not an expert, but I believe in 68 the caps were clip type. Can’t help you with the rest, sorry.

Re: 1968 C20 wheel / hubcap question

My 68 C-20 CST has chrome hubcaps on SPID and the number is 4P03CA

Here is a picture of the wheel, you can see where the caps clip on.

Hope that helps.

Re: 1968 C20 wheel / hubcap question

Yes, those are the caps that were with my truck when advertised. However, when I flew to Michigan to get truck I was on a high and forgot about them until 3 hours into our return trip to NJ. I called the guy and he said he would ship them, never did. Words cannot express how pissed I still am at myself 3 years later for not going back to get them.

I see you have 16” wheels, would 16.5” also use same caps?
