Gas tank Line

I scored me a very clean in cab fuel tank (PO removed it). I was going to install it this weekend but realized I don't have the line that connects to the sending unit, and routes out thru the floorboard. I've tried brothers, but there is no pictures and those lines cost way to much to gamble on. I didn't see any on classic industries, or classic car parts. We also have a truck shop up in orange county but I'm not seeing the line I need. Where can I get this line? I wouldn't mind bending my own line if needed but I am totally lost on the fitting size or fuel line size I need. If I'm not mistaken mine is 3/8. It's going on a 71 c20 with a 350. Just to add, I have 2 saddle tanks, so I would be running line between the manual floor switch as well

Think I still have that line laying around either in the parts shed or my shop area. Would be from my '71 K10 when I moved the in-cab tank to under the bed behind the rear axle. Will try and find it tomorrow and get a pic. Going out of town early AM, will be Sunday before I can get back on the board.

If want to add pics to an existing thread posting click on the "edit" at lower right of post. Next screen, click on " go advanced" , will show "manage attachments", click on it and you can then add pics and click on "save changes" to previous existing post. Hope that helps, I'm not the best at explaining computer lingo, LOL

As for those lines, those are the same ones I have from when I bought the EEC tank a couple months back, which I thought I could clean out on my own. I don't see how the tankside one would connect as there is no fittings. I do know the loop goes in the pillar. I don't have EEC in this truck tho. I appreciate the effort

As far as connecting the fuel line to the in cab tank......it connects to the fuel sending unit line from the tank by using a fuel line rated rubber hose connection and a clamp at either end. There are no hard threaded fittings used. If you have the line that came from the tank your almost there. Just need the rubber line and a couple of clamps. I would think the General designed the line connection that way to help prevent "work hardening" from cab and frame flex during driving. Hope that helps.

Try a wrecking yard. At the very least you can use it as a template and make a new one. Option 2, look In the classified section on this forum and someone will be able to help you. That should be an easy part to locate either way.

Found the one line I have loose but have another still in a parts truck. Loose line in the pic is 5/16'' diameter, intact line I have still in parts truck is 3/8'' . The line on the left with the large loop back on itself is an EEC line, 71 - 72 Evaporative Emissions Control line. Not used on '70 trucks. Choice of either 5/16 or 3/8 line is $15 plus shipping. Shipping can be problematic with the design of the line. Let me know if interested in any of the lines, 5/16 - 3/8 or the EEC line.
