bleeding brakes help!
I have a 1970 C10 with drum brakes and I had no brake pedal. I replaced the master cylinder and bench bled it. Now I can't get any brake fluid out of any of the wheel cylinders when trying to bleed the brakes. any help?

Re: bleeding brakes help!
My system was dry to start with, took a long time to get fluid to the rear brakes. I used a mighty vac, and it pulled the fluid nicely

Re: bleeding brakes help!
check the rubber flex hoses haven't collapsed inside seems weird they would all go bad at the same time though . more likely air bound somewhere

I'm not there but pump slowly to give the master cylinder time to fully return.

Re: bleeding brakes help!
Did you just replace the master cylinder? How are you going about bleeding the brakes (pump and hold)? Did you remove the bleeders and make sure they are not clogged? Did you open the bleeders and have a cold one and just let the fluid run? Little more information may help to identify the issue?

Re: bleeding brakes help!
I had a similar issue. Loosened one of the bleeder screws just a bit and then did a bunch of pumping on the pedal to build up pressure. Finally started squirting some fluid out and then bled the system. This was a complete new system though - lines, wheel cylinders, calipers, booster, and master cylinder.
Before I just started stomping on the pedal, I was getting nothing out of any of the bleeders screws. Initially, the pumping was frustration, but seemed to work out in the end. |

Re: bleeding brakes help!
Remove the rubber cap off end of prop valve ( rubber cap may be missing ) to depress the pin to reset it.

Re: bleeding brakes help!
Might try working your way through one piece at a time. Pull the line at the front T and make sure you get fluid there. Pull the line before the flex hose and make sure you get fluid there. Make sure the bleeders are nice and clean.
Wondering if there might be something with the rod length on the booster. Any you noticing the fluid level dropping in the master?
