67-72 Chevy/GMC OE Engine Components

I have been a huge fan of these trucks for decades..having once owned an 70 LWB 350/TB400 camper special about 40 years ago. I have all the Flint and Tonawanda data that can determine all the OE engine components used for these trucks. I have thought for years I would consider putting that data out there but writing another book like Chevrolet by the Numbers would be a huge undertaking and not very profitable like CBTN has been the last 30 years or so. It looks like many people could care less how they were built originally...which is fine..it's your truck. I love modified trucks too. Let me know if there are any people here who have an interest in the OE engine applications and if yes, maybe I could figure out a way to release the data online and get paid somehow..that might work. Thanx everyone.

I definitely have interest in correct numbers for the trucks. An online resource would be good. How to get paid for it, I'm not sure.

Great post Alan , Hopefully the guys here know what CBTN means , but for the people that don't , its , Chevrolet By The Numbers . Alan is the author of these books and they are a huge asset to the car community . Here , right now , is an opportunity to either get a similar book published for our trucks or an online resource for a vast wealth of information on casting numbers , stampings , Carburetors alternators distributors rear ends wheels etc to help confirm your trucks original parts.

Re: 67-72 Chevy/GMC OE Engine Components

IDK, GM pickups are not Corvettes and Z-28's which 10,000 units or less were built and were usually well cared for.

They built hundreds of thousands trucks and they were normally put to work the minute they left the showroom.

'born with' equipment seems less important.
