back of cab brace - does anybody need just one?

My sheet metal was pretty thin and flexible on the back of the cab, so I decided to add some additional braces.

I have the left over from my three pack.

Does anybody need it?

Might be overkill but it sure won't hurt anything.

Off topic, but what's the purpose of the tubing in the top picture?

I don't trust 71 year old sheet metal to brace the seat belts. I'm going to attach harnesses to it.

That's what I thought. I'm thinking of reinforcing the cab floor and maybe even putting a cross brace in behind the seat, similar to yours. These old cans crumple like tin cans in a wreck. I know none ever plans on getting in a wreck, but any measure of safety is an improvement.

My floor was totally rotted due to shag carpet installed by the PO. My floor is now an angle iron skeleton with 16 awg over the top. I wish I had bead rolled 18 awg. Or even bought a new floor.
