Drop and Tire Height question
I think i will be okay with this but want to ask and confirm from maybe someone who has done this. I am going to lower my 72 C10 with a 2 1/2 dropped spindle up front and a 4 inch coil spring drop in rear. I have set of 17 x 8 rims I will be installing and want to use a set of 255/65 17 tires which will have an overall diameter with the 17's of 30.05 inches. I know I'm okay for the side to side turning what I want to know is will the tires be too tall in front for that drop.

Re: Drop and Tire Height question
That’s a tall tire for a lowered truck.

Re: Drop and Tire Height question
You may find the answer here. It's a good reason to look at truck pictures.

Re: Drop and Tire Height question
I agree, that is a tall tire for a lowered truck. I run 235 55 17 on the front of mine dropped 4 1/2" and 275 55 17 on rear lowered 7". That's 27" front and 29" rear. Front might be good at 28 and the 29 is great in the rear on my truck.
