6L LS excessive moisture out of exhaust
Have had the 6L ls in the 81 for a couple of years now, but lately I've been noticing an excessive amount of moisture coming out of the exhaust. What could be causing this?

Junk gas or too many short trips would be my first guesses.
Maybe try some higher end gas and a longer drive and see how it acts. |

Re: 6L LS excessive moisture out of exhaust
You are burning hydrocarbons. For every two hydrogen's and one oxygen you will get water every time. The carbon is getting you carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. The nitrogen in the air gets a number of other combustion byproducts as do other things in the air and fuel. Now if the exhaust gas manages to cool down in the exhaust system enough the H2O is coming out as a liquid. If it stays hot it's a vapour or steam. Seeing the water is a function of retained heat or the lack there of. Nothing else.
