Tom, I have a knob available for it but it is not the plastic one like the original. heres a picture of it.

How firm is this lever supposed to be when installed. Mine is very loose, and I wondered if it was supposed to have a spring or be riding firm against another piece. Thanks for any help ahead of time.

cwilli84, There is supposed to be a spring behind the shifter to put tension on it.

pickupman, That is a good price on that shifter there, ill be talking to you soon on one.

Any idea about it size (length, diameter, wire size)??? never seen one but suspected it was there , never looked in my manual to see a picture, I suppose I should look there.

I got a spring for mine out of a mid 80's tilt column, it worked great! You probably can still buy them.
