Re: Poll: 15x8 Steelies vs. 15x8 Slots
I like the white steelies on the relatively stock looking trucks (especially if they are two tone), the rallies on the slightly mod'd trucks (minimal lift/oversized tires, roll bars, etc), and the slots on the ones that have more customization (lifted, shaved, custom paint, etc)...much like your example photos show.
I voted for the steelies, however.

Re: Poll: 15x8 Steelies vs. 15x8 Slots
Steelies would be my favorite going by the photos presented. However, if those 6-lug 4x4 rallies were the original silver color, it'd be too close to call. I've never been a fan of 5-lug rallies on anything but their OEM years of application but on a 4x4, those 6-luggers with their larger slots, look pretty tough. Oh, and not to leave out the slots (which truly are a timeless classic), if that last Blazer was stock 4x4 height or taller, we'd be looking at a three-way tie for first place IMHO.

Re: Poll: 15x8 Steelies vs. 15x8 Slots
I voted rallies but want to qualify my vote. For 4x4's I have always preferred steel wheels of some sort from back in my Jeep days when I "really" used my 4x4 and wasn't a fan of aluminum wheels in the rocky and mountain type terrain. Steelies versus rallies is always a tough call for me.
Slots I believe are super cool in their place, just like shown in the photo you presented. A truck with the same stance would be super, period correct cool all day with those.

Re: Poll: 15x8 Steelies vs. 15x8 Slots
If I were doing a blazer with some day 2 accessories I would go with slots all the way. I think they look fantastic on these trucks, particularly with the CST chrome. If I was going for a more stock look I would choose steels. I’ve never cared for the silver rally wheels on square bodies, the trim rings always look cheesy to me and the wheel design uninteresting. Square bodies had a fairly rare factory 15 x 8 white spoke that uses the same center caps as the silver rallies. Painted as they were from the factory with the pinstripe I think these wheels look dynamite on a blazer with standard white bumpers and such. This is the only picture I could find with a truck with those wheels. It’s a 2 Wheel Dr. model but these are 15 x 8s......

White steel
Sloted mags Rally wheels I had a set of rally’s on my first truck of the 67-72 body style. I switched to white steel and never went back to rally. I had a set of slotted mags on my last 4x4 and now it would be hard to chose, white steel or slotted mags? Guess it would depend on the vibe I was looking for.

I am very particular, have put a lot of time into deciding what wheels I like best for all time, and you have picked the three best wheel options for these trucks. So my answer is YES!
You didn't make Torque Thrusts an option, but that's the fourth option I like equally as much, mostly depends on desired vibe of the whole vehicle. Cragar SS is just right for some applications.

My first choice is white steelies with dog dish hubcaps, but all three look great.

I voted for white steel wheels but am
In a personal quandary. I picked up a set of 16x8 real jackmans two days ago. Actually traded up got rid of my 16.5s. But today I bought a set of 15x8 Mickey Thompson challenger slots. New in the box no less! Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Poll: 15x8 Steelies vs. 15x8 Slots
Depends on the truck. Stockish build the steelies, slight mods rally's, more mods the slots. In your pics swap the wheels on the second and third and I would like all three.

Steelies. Yeah I know the hubcaps are from a Nova, but they look good and don't cost a fortune. 15 x 7 and the front 15 x 8 in the back.
