‘67 GMC 1500 1/2 ton 2WD: Dana 44 or 12 bolt?
Anybody know if the 12bolt became standard for ‘67 or was GMC still using the Dana 44 as they had 1966 and prior?

I have had a 67 gmc with a 12 bolt rear end have to look at your diff cover to see what rear end it has
If your looking at purchasing a 67 you will have to look at the rear cover or ask as these trucks are over 48 years old many changes may have happened since it left the factory Even if your truck of choice does not have the diff you want they are available for sale on craigslist etc Last edited by gmc684x4; 08-16-2020 at 11:58 AM. |

I have a 67 gmc 2wd with a Dana 44 rear. It's a bugger to find rear drums for.

Yes, U.S. 1967 GMC 1500's had either a Spicer 44 or the rare non-floating 6 lug Spicer 60. Canadian 1967 GMC's would have a 12 bolt.
