S10 conversion??

I put the 48 on the S10 frame for a test fit. I had to extend the rear fender rods so they would connect to the frame, done. I had the rods for the front fenders hidden, and didn't think about them until I found them today.

So the question is, for the conversion, do you extend the rod to mount to the frame or leave them off, or what?

Thanks,
Robert

the front fender rods dont go to the frame, they go from the bottom of the fender to one of the fender attachment bolts on the cab

Re: S10 conversion??

Thanks, that would really help. It is tough not taking them apart and learning where things go.

Re: S10 conversion??

From experience not all good, those rods are there for a reason front and back. On the rear especially it is to keep the flat area of the fender behind the wheel from vibrating and cracking the fender part way up the wheel opening. My "In too big a hurry" put it back together from a bare frame to driving in three weeks thing in 1989 caused that on a very nice fender.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: S10 conversion??

I lengthened the rears so they mount to the S10 frame, I just didn't know where the front ones went. I'll test mount them tomorrow.

Thank you.
