Headers, Truck or Car?

Looking at a new set of headers for my C-10. I've heard that the car headers will fit and place the collectors closer to the floor, or tucked better in the frame. Anyone have any pics?

Re: Headers, Truck or Car?

Some 4x4 headers sit higher then others as well

I have 3 sets one hooker 72 k10 headman 68k10 i think headman 92 c1500 i can take pics tomorrow

One issue will be is your truck a standard as 67 72 trucks use a z bar from engine to frame

Other issue may be 2 wheel drive manual trucks use a bellhousing cross member mount

Try considering some 'vette' 2.5'' ramhorns run them into a single 3''

Re: Headers, Truck or Car?

.
As others on this board have done, I went with hedman 68198 ( Chevelle ) for my C10/BBC.

They cleared everything without modification except for a single dimple required on the passenger side due to contact with the lower control arm bushing nut.

Potential clearance issues:

o depending on motor mounts, may need some trimming or use tubular stands
o automatic transmission linkage
o manual shift clutch linkage
o transmission crossmember

All this is based on research on this board.

I just bought a set of 2 1/2 “ rams horns from Speedway. They were listed on special for $99 free shipping. I got the gaskets and the 3 bolt rings to make up the head pipes too.
