Bench seat upholstery?
Wondering what's out there upholstery-wise? With some luck I'll need a refreshed seat next year paint prison Came across this seat recently (1st image), which apparently was reupholstered. That looks nice to me, anyone familiar with it?
My truck had a black seat originally (2nd image). The maker over is ochre/white deluxe, and other than that it's heavily black. Real tempting to put a white seat in there, perhaps leather.

Re: Bench seat upholstery?
Here's my before and after. Had someone locally redo it. Just went with vinyl and houndstooth instead of real leather. Looks good.

Re: Bench seat upholstery?
Not hard to do yourself I did my 72. USA1 cover and foam from summit as they only charged $20 oversized freight . Saved big bucks on shipping

Re: Bench seat upholstery?
Thanks . I've done a few and what I've found is letting the sun heat up the skins prior to install helps I also use plastic sheeting to slide the cover over the foam keeps it from dragging. When it's where I want it I pull out the plastic. Heat gun also helps with wrinkles. Wish i had a steamer to do it .

Wholly seat covers, check these out https://www.ebay.com/i/274242291728?...xoC8CsQAvD_BwE Don't know how long this link is good, if you can't get to the item click "original listing" and scroll down. Nice seats, but more than that you will appreciate his shop https://www.ebay.com/itm/67-72-Chevy...p2047675.l2557

Re: Bench seat upholstery?
Total cost was around $400 but I'm sure the prices have gone up in 2 years . The cover was top notch and is holding up well I've put 25k on the truck since install . The foam is a little stiff even after 2 years not uncomfortable but raised me up to where I had to lower the seat . Took me about 3 to 4 hours to recover the seat

Re: Bench seat upholstery?
I had a local upholstery shop make new covers, repair a football sized area of the seat foam, and hog-ring the coverings on. The estimate was not much more than buying new repop coverings. AND, I got to get away from the vinyl. I went with tweed, but stuck pretty close to the original patterns. I'm not going concourse correct so the savings was well worth it and saving my wrists from the hog-ring pliers is a good thing. I expect to pay about $400. Here's a sneak peek as they are almost done with the job...I'l be picking it up this week. Leather was an option, but outside my budget.
