Dana 44 front axle truss
As title says. I needed a few for my trucks so made extras. Believe I got 8 left but can make more if needed. $250 plus shipping and PP fees.
I made 12 more fronts. Link for 12 bolt rears in post. If you buy a front and rear combo 225 on the front to help out with shipping Last pic is one I installed on my k10. Fit nicely. Posted via Mobile Device Last edited by ShortbedClayton; 03-19-2023 at 01:39 PM. |

Re: Dana 44 front axle truss
OK help me out here. I've never seen these before. What is their purpose? I'm having some steering issues with my 70 K10 and are intrigued by these.

Re: Dana 44 front axle truss
They have nothing to do with steering issues. It’s just under bracing, meant to prevent the axle from bending under hard use. Or in this case to look the part of an old school truck

Re: Dana 44 front axle truss
If your running bigger tires these will help . The price is pretty cheap too. Normally they sell for 250.00 to 300

Re: Dana 44 front axle truss
I put them on for looks. I guess they were designed for western Baja races back in the day to help with axle tube bending. Some say they work others say no. I say they look super cool

Re: Dana 44 front axle truss
ok guys it seems everytime some one gets the itch to build the rear trusses they tank and our hopes and dreams of finding one (rear truss) get dashed and we go back to hopeing we MIGHT finally get our hands on one that somebody gets off a builder and he dumps it for dirt cheap. I recall another gentleman mid dunes was his member name I think, anyone hear that ???? HEMI you've been here quite awhile you heard anything from him ?? I have a front truss from GO RHINO but have not found the rear. Again like hens teeth. Thanks in advance guys.

Re: Dana 44 front axle truss
Rear axle trusses have always been uncommon. You mostly saw 4wds running the front truss only.

Re: Dana 44 front axle truss
Will these work with the closed knuckle or just the open?

My apologies for taking over two years to come up with a rear truss I’m happy with. Bringing this thread back to the top as I finally got a rear truss I’m happy with. Getting ready to make a dozen over the next few weeks. Gonna be making 12 more fronts as well.. will get pics and prices when I get them all made up but just wanted to update on here as I get a few messages on guys still interested in the rears… when I get rears done I’ll make a separate for sale post for rears only. thanks
