Re: Look what I picked up today

Sweet, I finally put a set of those valve covers on the 350 I had in my 71 to cut down on oil leaks. They aren't for everyone but they hold a gasket pretty well.

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Beautiful engine, that should move the truck pretty well. I'm impressed with all you have gotten done. I think that distributor will be too close to the firewall if the engine is in the original location. You can either modify the firewall or do like I did and get a small distributor with a remote coil. My truck was a 57 Chevy but think it would be the same with GMC.

Well, originally I was going to go with a LS Engine, but decided it would take way too many modifications and a 350 would suit it better

I think this and a 700R4 would be great
