Hydraulic to mechanical clutch?
I know theres a ton of threads on doing mechanical to hydraulic.
I'm wondering if anyone has done it the other way around. I bought a $20 pedal assembly from a guy on offer up.turned out it was an automatic pedal assembly with hydro clutch and brake pedals in the box.i modded it to swing a clutch pedal like those kits. I have the z bar and push rod setup.so I'd like to use the stuff I have. Is it just a matter of shortening the push rod?it seems like the mechanical pedals have the fulcrum up higher then a hydro setup. (My buddy had a pedal assembly loose so I was able to take measurements to modify my auto assembly) Last edited by pat english; 12-26-2020 at 01:47 PM. |

Re: Hydraulic to mechanical clutch?
maybe trade that pedal for a mechanical one? they're alot easier to find. the hydro ones are gold plated anymore.

I'm just going to try it out and see if it works.im sure I could get it to work.i was just hoping maybe someone has done it and maybe had some tips. Also,I may have to use the hydro clutch anyways.im putting the 454 in the k5 and not sure if I'll have room for headers with the zbar setup. |
