I just get jacked up. I commit to working on the truck at least 1 hour every single day, no matter what.
Some days I'm in the shop at 1 AM if I have to be. Most days it's way more than 1 hour. I need to find a forum board for real hard core junkies I guess.

I notice the folks that have this serious, balls-out commitment to their trucks also live in nice, warm climates.

I just did my gauges, I am now rebuildng a floorshift column and putting in a Hurst Promatic II truck shifter into my truck. Also cleaning up the A/C controls I just got from MJF. Next I will rebuild the front turn signal assembles then get a new bumper. Little by little its looking better. I also want to detail the engine before spring.

Have a whole heap of stuff to start on in the new year, cleaning up the interior, new carpet, some paint etc, an HEI to fit with new underhood wiring harness, some new fancy hoses, re-wire the rear lights as the wiring is just crumbling away (need to make my own harness as it's been adjusted to make the lights legal in the UK) and a few other bits. Been stuck on getting the spare bedrom sorted out and decorated by Christmas (our house is exactly 100 years old and was semi derelict when we bought it six long years ago, now nearly finished renovating it)

I took some baling wire and fixed my fan shroud from hitting the fan on the plow truck. Backyard engineering at it's best 10 degrees and laying in the snow. Is that hard-core enough for ya?

Just wait until the weather starts warming up. I know I'm in So. Cal, but sometimes it gets just cold enough where if I have to make up my mind about going outside to work or staying in and watching TV, I'll usually pick sitting in front of the boob tube.
Come Spring time, this place is busier than a one-armed paper hanger. |
