Older VIN Look Up

Where can i go look up an older (70) vin number to start the process of getting a title?

Tried Bumper & Been Verified only to spend money to be told no results found.

I bought a cab for my project truck to replace the cab that was and don't want to go through the BS of trying to get a title for it once it done with the replacement cab. Current cab matches the title I have. I would like to try and track down the title for this replacement if possible.

Thought about vin swap- but 69 had two tags and this 70 model has one. Plus it is illegal to do that...........

All I have for the replacement cab is a bill of sale.

Any thoughts on where to look up an old 12 digit vin and not waste money?

Thanks

Re: Older VIN Look Up

If the new cab is from Texas, you might go to the TX DMV website, look at info for a bonded title, and grab the form for a title search.

I'm in Texas and that's where the cab came from.
I'll looked into a bonded title.

Re: Older VIN Look Up

Thanks that helps- it appears the vin search engines on the internet are designed for 17 digit vin's.
