Popups
Sound to me like you have a hidden popup program running on your pc. I would suggest that use a program like PestPatrol, Stopzilla or one of the many other programs out there. I ran PestPatrol awhile back and it found so many hidden programs on my computer. Get one of them and check your pc and see what it finds.

I stopped using internet explorer a while back. So many pop-ups! I use NETSCAPE and it's great. Hardly ever get pop-ups. The program has built in pop-up protection. Plus it's simply a better program. It's worth switching and getting rid of the IE monopoly.

I've been using Spybot and Popup Stopper .I just downloaded Adware and it identified a lot of Registry files and tracking files.
Hope I did the right thing by deleting them all. I always have System Restor.

Haven't got any pop ups on my end. I got AOL and it is supposed to have pop up controls.

WOW. I never realized how that stuff worked. I just used the download and found 500, of which 446 were from some ad tracking company. Thanks for the link.

Adware really kicks butt. First time I ran it it dumped almost 700 spyware programs. There should be a law against that stuff. If you shop on the web, you are vulnerable to having confidential info stolen from you. I run it everyday.
