Door popper installation?

Is it easier to install them with the doors on the truck or removed? Wootdog

The poppers are the springloaded plungers that help push the door out after it unlatches. Those just go on the back edge of the door frame somewhere. I'm guessing that you're talking about the solenoids that go in the door. When I did the solenoids on mine, the doors were on the truck. The only part where I think that it would really be more convenient if they were removed was drilling the holes in the forward edge of the door and the matching hole in the door post for the wiring. but I used a rubber bellows thingie from a later model car to run the wiring thru and it required about a 1.5 inch hole.

If you're going to have the doors off anyway I say go for it, but as hard as they are to line up again when you reinstall them, I sure wouldn't take the doors off just for this.
