Seat Springs
The springs shown, came with my '54 truck. My research show that they are not the correct springs and will not in any way fit. The front of the frame downturns, where as the correct springs do not. I am thinking of cutting off the front portion so the springs lay flat like they are supposed to. Anyone recognize what vehicle the springs are off of?

Re: Seat Springs
You're right. Look wrong. Heres some pics of my hamfisted attempt to respring and cover mine. The combination of carpet to replace jute, 3" sleeping foam and a 1" wrap are too comfortable as I tend to get tired and nap sitting on them ( not moving).

Re: Seat Springs
Selling the unidentified springs might be unlikely, but I sure hate butchering them up and hope they fit and look right....which I probably will do.

Re: Seat Springs
I would try to find an orig in good shape or make one with a platform and new(er) springs. Thick carpet spreads out the top force but bottom shape and size are somewhat critical. I replaced many broken springs from a donor. Maybe someone here has what you need?
