want overdrive, but not 700r4 check this out
This is a link to a 4l80E minus the E (electronics). http://www.transmissioncenter.net/4L80E.htm
From what they tell me It will support my wants for 470 plus ftlbs. torque.

From what I understand from talking to JET the 4L80E will NOT work with out electronics. And the JET 4L80Es will handle way more torque than 470

go take a look at Art Carr's web site, he build 700r's that can do that

82-92 700r4 is basically a 4l60 with E removed, 87-92 are the 10 vane pump ones without the E
